  • In Sweden’s last general election, 40 percent of Swedes living abroad voted.

  • That figure was even lower among 18 to 25 year olds living overseas, according to Statistics Sweden.

  • Maria Solevid at the University of Gothenburg said there are many reasons why young people who live abroad are less likely to vote.
