With a lead of one hundredth of a second, Ida Karstoft managed on Friday from her initial heat of 60 meters at the indoor WC. The Danish sprinter crossed the line in a time of 7.29 seconds, and that was just enough for a place among the 24 semifinalists. Karstoft will thus be in action again in the hall in Belgrade on Friday at 18.10. Benjamin Lobo Vedel is also ready for the semifinals. On Friday, he finished second in his initial heat of 400 meters and thus booked a direct path to the semifinals without having to skew further to his time. It was 46.58 seconds. Benjamin Lobo Vedel will run his semifinal on Friday at 19.10. The third of a total of five Danes at the World Indoor Championships, Joel Ibler Lilles, will run on Friday afternoon for a final place in the 3000 meters. On Saturday morning, the last two Danes will be in action for the first time. Mathilde Heltbech and Mette Graversgaard both start in the 60 meter hurdles.
