  • Law and order and combating gang crime are among the top issues with politicians and voters in the 2022 election campaign.

  • Swedish Radio News reports from Södertälje, one of the cities in Sweden which has the most experience in working within the community to stop organised crime, and the conclusion there is that it is something that takes time, and needs wide-ranging efforts.

  • “We don’t have a quick fix….we have to be able to keep more perspectives in our heads,” says Gunnar Appelgren, who has led several police efforts against gang crime, including in Södertälje.
