  • In its foreign policy declaration, the government today emphasised Sweden’s right to its own security policy choices. “It is not up to Russia to dictate these through threats and violence,” Foreign Minister Ann Linde said in parliament.

  • Security policy and the security situation in Europe were given a lot of space in this year’s foreign policy declaration, which describes the foreign policy priorities the Government wishes to pursue in 2022.

  • The Foreign Minister called Russia’s growing confrontational rhetoric and military activities “unacceptable”.
