Lyssna: Sweden won’t give new, fresh capital to SAS

  • Sweden will not provide new capital to the airline SAS, Minister for Business, Industry and Innovation, Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson, announced at a press conference this morning.

  • But the State will be involved in converting loans that they’ve given SAS into share capital.

  • “The Swedish state are decreasing its ownership in SAS, and you can also say that they are slowly taking their hand off the company,” says Kristian Åström, Swedish Radio’s economics correspondent.
