Ralf Rangnick apologises to Man Utd fans for ‘terrible & humiliating’ defeat to Brighton – 21Sports News

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has apologised to supporters after they travelled to the Amex Stadium to watch their side get thumped 4-0 by Brighton.

United needed a victory to keep their top-four hopes alive but put on one of the most disappointing showings in recent memory as goals from Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Pascal Gross and Leandro Trossard secured an easy win for the Seagulls.

After the game, Rangnick did not shy away from voicing his frustration.

“It was a terrible performance,” he said. “From the first until the last minute, it was not enough. We can only apologise for this performance and a humiliating defeat.”
