Lyssna: Majority of regional candidates want better medical stockpiles

A majority of candidates from Sweden’s 21 regions want better stockpiles of medical gear and equipment to be better prepared for future crises.

That’s according to a survey by Swedish Radio News of the top political candidates running for office, where two-thirds said regions need to have larger stockpiles.

Many local governments had a tough time keeping supplies stocked during the pandemic and want to avoid a repeat of the situation.
