Lyssna: Justice minister survives parliamentary no-confidence vote
-
Justice and Home Affairs Minister Morgan Johansson made it through a vote of no confidence in parliament with the lowest possible margin.
-
Former Left Party, now independent, MP Amineh Kakabaveh did not vote in favour of the motion, after seeking reassurances from the Social Democrats that they would honour a previous agreement she had with them.
-
Afterwards, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson told reporters that they had not made any concessions to Kakabaveh, but she questioned why the opposition filed a motion that would put the spotlight on the independent MP.
