The Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson said today that Sweden has failed to integrate the large numbers of immigrants it’s taken in over the past two decades, leading to parallel societies and gang violence.
Flanked by Justice Minister Morgan Johansson and the Minister for Integration and Migration Anders Ygeman, Andersson told a news conference that criminals were to blame for the violent riots which left more than 100 police officers injured over Easter.
“Segregation has been allowed to go so far that we have parallel societies in Sweden. We live in the same country but in completely different realities,” Andersson said.
