The curtain came down on the 2021/22 WSL season on Sunday, and fans were treated to a selection of spectacular goals to mark the final day of the campaign.
Chelsea sparked a dramatic comeback against Manchester United to be crowned WSL champions thanks to a brace from a particular Australian striker (more on her later), while Manchester City continued their thoroughly impressive finish to the season to book a Champions League place.
Let’s take look at the very best goals from the final Sunday of the WSL season.

Lauren Hemp netted her 10th goal of the WSL season to conclude another terrific campaign, opening the scoring as Manchester City ran out 4-0 winners over Reading.
The pick out from Keira Walsh is exquisite, and the half volley from Hemp is equally as impressive.

Everton signed off their 2021/22 season with a draw against Brighton, and opened the scoring in emphatic style.
Nathalie Bjorn marauded forward from centre half, exchanged passes with Anna Anvegard, before finding the top corner with a fabulous bending effort.

Steph Catley absolutely rocketed in her first ever WSL goal as Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners over West Ham.
The left back drove at the Hammers’ backline before thundering a strike into the roof of the net via a satisfying thwack off the underside of the cross bar.

So Sam Kerr’s had quite a good season.
With Chelsea trailing 2-1 at the break to Manchester United in their crucial WSL title decider, Kerr levelled the scores two minutes after the restart as she connected perfectly with a left footed volley on the edge of the area.
You won’t see a better goal than that all season…oh…
Even she can’t believe she scored that!

Kerr then proceeded to outdo herself 20 minutes later to effectively secure the title for Chelsea with an outrageous effort.
With her back to goal she had the awareness to spot Mary Earps off her line, the absolute nerve to attempt to catch her out, and the skill to execute an audacious swivel and volley. Some player.
