  • The food industry is warning that the severe cost crisis for Swedish food producers is far from over and prices will continue to increase in supermarkets this autumn.

  • In its latest report, the Swedish Food Federation says that costs for raw materials, transport, packaging and electricity have increased for a second consecutive quarter, which will have a knock on effect for consumers.

  • “Food producers report the fastest decline in profitability that we have measured,” says the branch organisation’s chief economist Carl Eckerdal to Swedish Radio News.
