Finland and Sweden to "strengthen interaction with NATO"

  • At a joint press conference held in Helsinki, on Saturday, by the Swedish and Finnish Prime Ministers, Finnish PM Sanna Marin said that Sweden and Finland have recently decided to strengthen interaction with NATO.

  • Swedish PM Magdalena Andersson said that her visit to Finland takes place as part of the increased coordination continuously taking place between the two countries.

  • “We don’t see an immediate military threat towards Sweden,” said Magdalena Andersson; Marin said that to her knowledge there was no acute threat towards Finland.
