Close to 3000 people applied in the hope of showcasing their art at the traditional “Vårsalong” exhibition at Liljevalchs art gallery in Stockholm this year.

The “Spring salon” has been an annual event since 1921, and this year 316 works of art were selected by a jury to be displayed, and sold.

Sara Källsner, press spokesperson at Liljevalchs, told Radio Sweden that the jury’s main aim is to display variety.
